FOXA was the only cable group to post growth while Viacom, TWX, Disney, AMC Networks, and SNI were all down mid to high-single digits. DISCA, NBCU and A&E declined double digits.

Last week, Cable ratings were up +1% on a TD, Live+SD P18-49 basis, +900 bps above the week prior and +400 bps above the STD average. Now that the NFL regular season is over, we went back to look at the weekly ratings trends for the year. For P2+, Live+SD viewership for the NFL was down -9% this season, all-in. However, as we heard at our Sports Summit, ratings dramatically improved after the election.

Last week, Cable ratings were down -2% on a TD, Live+SD P18-49 basis, +100 bps above the week prior and the QTD average. Fox, Viacom, SNI, and AMCX grew ratings while all other cable parents declined. Quarter-to-date, FOXA (+16%) leads the group followed by SNI and VIAB (both flat). NBCU (-1%), AMCX (-5%), TWX (-6%), and DISCA (-4%) are all down low to mid-single digits while Disney (-16%) trails the group.
